Christmas Day

The kids woke up extra early on Christmas morning.  We made them wait it out for awhile, though, so we could sleep to a normal hour.  They got almost everything they wanted and it was a fun morning.  Brady's stocking had their first clue to their "big present" from Santa.

"Patiently" waiting for sis to read the letter from Santa before we can start opening presents!

We leave Santa cookies and Diet Coke...because we think he gets sick of milk, and needs a little Diet Coke to help him out after delivering all those presents!

If this was all Brady had gotten for Christmas, he would have been perfectly content!

Finding their "big" presents from Santa after the treasure hunt he sent them on!

Brady got a Little People car center.

Macie got a pink acoustic guitar.

Pax got his Batman cave.

After presents we got ready for the day, played with toys for a little while, then went over to Tony's parents' house.  We let the kids take one or two of their favorite toys, even though we knew they'd get plenty more.

Dixie made each of the kids their own quilt and they turned out super cute!  I love having a mother-in-law that sews!

My dad had knee-replacement surgery a few days before Christmas so he was supposed to be in the hospital but was hell-bent on getting home, so he came home around noon that day.  Mom wasn't feeling well AT ALL...she had a really bad stomach issue that day.  We met at their house in the early afternoon and spent the rest of the day there.  We opened presents with just my family then our extended family came over later on for dinner.  Since Mom was kind of out of commission most of the day I kind of had to take over as hostess which is a lot of work...especially when it's not your own house!
My mom (and dad) went WAY overboard with presents this year.

We went in with Ryan and Mackensie and my mom and got my dad some Harley boots...he was pretty excited!

I love this little princess!

Mom wasn't feeling well at all but she needed to be in at least one picture.
(You can see a corner of one of the gifts they gave me which was a Shark steam mop...it's awesome!)
