The End of 1st Grade

On the last week of school there was a little award show and Macie earned her Bulldog Award.  Then on the last day Mrs. Simpson presented each student with a special award and Macie got one for being very creative and always using all of the colors in her artwork.  She loved her teacher for 1st grade and so did I.  She was so sweet but so organized and Macie loved school.  It was a fun year...and of course it went way too fast!
After school on the last day we went with our friends to get ice cream at Cold Stone then played at the park.  It was a lot of fun!

Macie and her buddy Bailey!

Everything Else in May...

Just sharing a popsicle with his cousin Jerzi.

-Hanging out at the Grove-

Cute cousins!  These 2 love each other!

My cute cousin Joey graduated.  I still can't believe he's old enough be done with high school.  Pretty sure he was just born like a week ago...and I was one of his favorite people, at least for the first few years of his life!  ;)

Just trying to keep the sun out of his eyes...he loves to put sunglasses on just to make us laugh!

-Paxton's 1st Year of Preschool Promotion-
I didn't get to go because I had to work but Tony took lots of pics and video for me and Pax did really well on his little poem that he had to say and all of the songs.  I love this little man so much...he is such a sweet boy!

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day we went to church and my kids came home with cute little cards that they made in class.  Paxton gave me his little card from preschool as well.  Things like that are more important than ANY material thing.  Seriously, priceless!

Alumni Baseball Game

On Mother's Day weekend we had the Murray High Alumni Baseball game.  Tony looks forward to playing every year but it's funny because he keeps moving to the older teams every year as he gets older.  The first game had the younger guys- none of which I know.  His game was 2nd and he and his brother Casey were on the same team, playing guys older than them.  Tony hit a homerun so that made him happy...and their team won.  It's always fun to watch him play.  I won't lie, he still looks sexy as ever in that uniform!  ;)

My cute niece Maddy is the best babysitter.  She even got this crazy baby of mine to sleep!

Dance Competition

Macie danced in her only competition of the season on Mother's Day weekend.  This was kind of a crazy busy weekend so we didn't get to stay and watch a lot of the other dances but Macie did well and her team took 4th place for their cute mouse dance.  And Macie made one very cute little mouse!

Granny Hilda's 95th Birthday

My sweet Granny turned 95 on May 9th.  We had almost EVERYONE in town for a surprise birthday party for her.  It was fun to see cousins that I haven't seen in a LONG time and catch up with everyone.  Granny was very surprised.  As she walked toward the living room in the back of the house we all started singing to her.  I think she was a little bit in shock to see everyone there.  It was fun and a great way to celebrate her life while she was still here to celebrate with us.  About 2 months later she passed away so we were all really glad to have had that day to remember.

Granny and her 7 kids...Jim is a cardboard cut-out since he was sailing in the Caribbean.

Pamper Day for Mom

Macie's class put together a darling "day spa" for all of the moms for Mother's Day.  We rotated throughout a few stations.  In the first station Macie read me a few books...she is such a good little reader.  The next station she did my nails and used lots of polish to make sure they looked really sparkly!  Then she did my hair and put some flowers in it.  Then she put lotion on my arms and rubbed & scratched my arms and back.  They all made really cute little keepsake boxes for us as well as a beaded bracelet and a cute card.  Then they sang us a cute song.  It was the sweetest thing.  Macie had fun pampering me and I loved it so much!

Fun Run

Macie ran in her 1st grade annual Fun Run in May and did great.  They have to run quite a bit and she did her very best and worked hard.  I was very proud of her!

Random photo...we were tired after watching Macie run so sometimes we just need to cuddle on the couch and take a little rest!  Love my Pax!

The Month of April

Since I'm a little behind on blogging I thought I'd catch up quicker if I just update a whole month at a time.  So in a nutshell, here's what happened in April:
When Brady is tired, Brady is tired!  Even if it's while eating a snack.

Pax played t-ball with our friends Scott & Lisa's boys in SoJo...Scott coached and Tony helped.  It was fun but Pax didn't get that into it.  He gets bored easy.  It's always fun to watch little kids learn how to play, though.  He was always glad when the games were over! :)

I celebrated my 31st birthday!  (No, I can't believe I'm really that old.)  Tony took me to Bonzai for dinner which is one of my favorite restaurants, then we went to a movie.  We had a lot of fun...even if I am getting old!

Silly Brady...this kid always does the funniest things and is always making us laugh!
