It's Finished!

For the last few weeks we have been living in dust, clutter, and chaos while we re-tiled & re-carpeted most of our house! I didn't realize how much work goes into tiling- Tony got the old tile up, then the boards under it to find the original white linoleum (pretty!) which also had about 1000 nails pounded into it (not exagerating!)- we spend an entire night pulling up nails- our hands were VERY sore! Tony and my dad worked for days and finally finished tiling, then my mom & I grouted it the next day, and I sealed it the day after that. Then yesterday the carpet guy came- it literally feels like we just moved into a new house! We LOVE it! Our old carpet had stains all over, it was hard & flat and ugly- this new stuff is like walking on pillows! There's a few more things I'd like to do to our house, but I told Tony I'd be happy staying here another 10 years as long as we don't outgrow it!This is our front room w/ our kitchen table, chairs, etc.

Yes, the refrigerator was also in the front room, along w/ the stove- makes it a little difficult to cook!

The NEW carpet!
The following are the before & after pictures of the kitchen:

P.S. We have a strict NO SHOES rule now in case anyone comes over! ;)

Scott & Lisa

Our friends Scott & Lisa were sealed in the temple today! Scott and Tony have been best friends since they were little kids! The ceremony was at the Salt Lake Temple and it was really nice. It was so neat to see them be sealed- we couldn't be happier for them!
The happy couple- they're expecting a baby boy in June!

2 Year Checkup

Macie went to her 2 year checkup today. I absolutely love her doctor- she sits and just chats about anything & everything- she never makes us feel like she is in a hurry! Anyway, Macie is in the 25th percentile in height- she's kind of always been a shorty- hopefully she'll have a growth spurt later on in life! She is right on for weight, she's speaking great, and Dr. B was pretty impressed to see her in big girl underwear this young!
She now knows several colors -her favorite is green, despite my attempts at pushing the pink! She can put on her own shoes & socks, puts her plate/bowl in the sink after she's done eating, she loves to dance & jump, loves to color, she can match up shapes, count to 10, she loves to read books, loves being outside, and she loves playing with her dolls- she even has to wrap them up to make sure they aren't cold (she's a natural little mommy!). She's growing up so fast!

Happy Easter!

The Easter bunny brought Macie a new camping chair (her size), a Barney DVD, some candy, and a tutu. On Easter morning Macie & I went to my mom & grandma's church since theirs starts at 11am & ours doesn't start until 1pm. Tony and my dad stayed home to tile my kitchen- thanks guys! Later on we went out to my sister-n-law's family's house for Easter dinner. They had a little Easter egg hunt then we had a delicious dinner. It was such a relaxing day!

Easter Egg Hunt

My friend Brooke decided to put on an Easter egg hunt this year in our old neighborhood. It was a little rainy but the kids absolutely loved it! Macie didn't really know what was going on at first but as soon as I showed her to pick up the eggs she was finding them all over!
All the kids!

Macie's favorite part was the blue frosted cookies!

All the kids were very interested in the storm drain- kids are so easily amused!

Easter Bunny

I took Macie to see the Easter Bunny.......I don't think she liked him very much!

Afterwards she was still in shock....she just might be scarred for life! I can't say I blame her, though- giant bunny is pretty creepy!

Our Princess Turned 2!!!

Macie turned 2 on April 3rd- I can't believe our baby is 2 already- time really flies! I remember having her like it was yesterday, yet sometimes I look at baby pictures and can hardly remember some of those times! We had a little birthday party for her at our house- thanks to everyone who came! (And thanks Kristin for taking pictures!)
At 2 she is running around, into everything, about 90% potty trained, speaking partial to full sentences, and more fun than ever! My favorite thing is when she says "Love you Mommy" or "Love you Daddy". She's also become quite a daddy's girl lately, but of course she always still needs her mommy so I can't be too jealous! I don't know how we ever lived without her, she's so fun!
