2 Months Old

Paxton went to his 2 month check-up on Friday. He weighed in at 14 lbs (95th percentile) and measured 23.75 inches (75th-95th percentile). His head measures right around average. The doctor said he is the average size of a 4 month old! No wonder my arm hurts after trying to lug him around in his carseat! He is smiling like crazy and "talking" which is super cute! He is eating about 4oz breastmilk every 2 1/2 hours give or take, and has been able to go about 7 hours without eating at night...we're working on sleeping all night! This boy is so sweet and loves to cuddle! He is a big boy...I guess we've got our little football player! I can't believe we've had him for 2 months already...we love him so much!

Our Newest Addition to Our Family....

We went to LOOK at a puppy today and should have known that little face would suck us in! So now we have a new puppy! Moose is 10 weeks old and is pretty well trained already! We love him already! He was born March 10th so he'll be the same age as Paxton which is crazy of me to think I can have a puppy and a baby, but at the same time it will be fun for them to grow up together and be buddies! Macie loves him and can't get enough of him! As you'll see she's already worn him out!

Davies Kids 2010

We took some pictures of Macie and her Davies cousins. It was crazy trying to get 7 kids to look at the camera let alone smile all at the same time! Macie is impossible to get to smile- she says cheese but makes a weird face while she's saying it and then looks off somewhere else! All 14 feet!

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day Tony made breakfast for him and Macie...he said he would have made me some but he didn't know what I wanted! ;) He also got me a card with an I.O.U. for a massage which he got me later. He's funny! When we told Macie it was Mother's Day she said "No, it's kid's day!"
We went to my Granny's house to visit my dad's family. It was her 91st birthday so we had a fun get together for that. Then we went to my parent's house and had dinner with everyone.
Then we went to Tony's parents' & hung out there for a little bit. We both have such great moms and grandmas.
I can't believe I'm a mom to 2 darling kiddos! I love being a mom...it's a challenge sometimes but there is nothing better!

Race 4 The Cure 2010

We did Race 4 The Cure again this year...since 1999 I've missed it 3 times. We run for my aunt Pennie who passed away 10 1/2 yrs ago way too young (age 33). It's always an emotional event but this year was fun to have a lot of our family do it!The whole group

Nikki, Allie & Sam (Nikki came into town from California just to do the race this year and ended up getting the flu at 5am that morning...she still came & did it, even though she felt like crap...what a trooper!)

Ryan, Crew, & Halle

There are always 20,000+ people there...it's crowded but so neat to see the turnout every year. It's also so sad to see how many people are affected by breast cancer.

Macie's Swim Lessons & Paxton's First Swim

Macie started swim lessons last week. We already go swimming at least once a week so she's pretty much a fish & already knows most of the stuff she's learned so far, but I also wanted her to experience being in a class & having to listen to a teacher so she'll be a little more prepared for preschool this fall. Besides nursery she's never had a teacher/class environment. She struggles listening to the teacher & paying attention...I have a feeling when she starts school I'm going to get report cards that say "Student is smart but needs to learn how to listen and follow directions!"
We also took Paxton swimming for the first time. He loved it- he was alert & happy the whole time! He still hates baths, though...go figure!

Paxton's Blessing

Paxton was blessed on Sunday May 2nd. Tony gave a beautiful blessing and everyone in the circle said that Paxton smiled the whole time. I would have liked to say a few things during testimony meeting, but I was so emotional I couldn't do it- that was the morning we found Bear had passed away (hence why I look ridiculous in every picture!) I pretty much cried the whole day! Anyway, everyone came over to our house after the blessing and had breakfast. Minus our dog dying it was a nice day! And we're glad we didn't wait any longer to bless him because his blessing outfit wouldn't have fit if we had!

He'd had enough attention by this time...he just wanted to eat & take a nap & cuddle with mom!

Paxton has already learned to smile for the camera...too bad his sister hasn't figured that out yet!
