Newport Beach 2014

In July we went to Newport Beach with my family.  Tony, the kids and I drove and stayed in Vegas on our way down.  We went to the Cowabunga Bay in Vegas which was way cool.  The next morning we drove the rest of the way.  We spent the week in a really great beach house just steps from the beach.  It was such a fun trip...we LOVE it in Newport!

One day during the week some of us went to SeaWorld.  I LOVE SeaWorld...maybe more than my kids.  It was so much fun!

Macie spent most of her beach-time surfing and loving it.  She wants to be a pro-surfer.  Too bad we don't live by an ocean!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we were in the parade this year!  I have a small business so I let the kids ride in the back of my dad's truck and throw taffy which they had a blast doing!  We went through a LOT of taffy and it was fun to see everyone along the parade route.  After that we went to lunch and later on a big BBQ at my parents' house and watched fireworks.  We bought some of our own fireworks and lit them the next night in our circle, then went to Tony's parents' house for more fireworks that Sunday night.  It was a fun weekend and my favorite holiday!

Brady, Pax & Crew getting ready to throw some taffy in the parade!

This is how Pax watched the fireworks that the boys set off at my parents' house.  He is really concerned about the aerial ones that blow up in the sky and thinks they're going to come down and land on him.  Poor kid!

Brady's Kidney Testing (July 2014)

Brady had to go in for yet another round of testing on his kidneys for his hydronephrosis.  They did an ultrasound first which showed that the kidneys both looked healthy and normal.  But then they did the drainage test and the doctor felt that especially one of them was not draining as fast as it should.  He couldn't figure out why they looked so normal on the ultrasound but were still not functioning properly so we basically left with no answers and have to go back AGAIN at the end of the year.  It was frustrating and I feel bad that my baby has to continue to go through this testing, especially when they can't even give us answers.  Brady cried for quite awhile...he hated being restrained.  He finally fell asleep, though.  I just really hope that by his next test there will be some answers.

More of June....

Macie went to a volleyball camp and loved it.

Pax did great and learned a ton at his swim lessons.

Savannah's Baptism

We celebrated our 9 year anniversary.  Instead of spending money on a hotel we decided to take the money and go shopping at City Creek and each of us had fun buying new clothes.  We also went to dinner at Bonsai (our favorite!) and the kids slept at my parents' house so we could have a night to ourselves.  We went to a late movie and went to breakfast the next morning before going to get the kids.  I also had to try on my wedding dress because it's fun to do every so often.  I'm happy to report it still fits.  Anyway, we had a fun anniversary weekend and I love Tony more today than I ever have.  We really are a great team and I can't imagine being with anyone else.

We went through the Bountiful LDS temple with my cousin Joey when he took out his own endowment.  It was very special and I am glad I was able to be apart of it.

Fathers' Day and Jerzi's Birthday

Fathers' Day and my niece Jerzi's birthday were on the same day this year so we celebrated together.  She turned one and LOVED her cake!  She is such a cutie and she and Brady are buddies!  I am so thankful to have an awesome dad who is such a cute grandpa to my kids.  I am also blessed with a great father-in-law and an amazing husband who is such a good daddy to our kids.

Macie's End of Year Dance Recital

Macie's dance group did a ballet production of Peter Pan for their spring recital.  Macie was one of the cute little fairies.  It was such a cute play and made it really fun to watch.
