Newport Beach

I'm super late on posting this, but a couple of weeks ago we went to Newport Beach, California for a week! It was so fun!  My family all got a beach house but since we had Paxton (who still doesn't sleep through the night) we decided it would be better for us to stay in a hotel so we didn't keep the whole house awake at night!  Our hotel turned out to be super nice and cozy, but we spent most of our time at the beach house with everybody.  Besides Disneyland day we went to the beach every day that we were there.  The weather was unusually cool (low 70s) and it was kind of windy, so you couldn't be in the shade, and it didn't motivate me to go in the water, but we still had a great time!  This is our 3rd year going, and we hope to keep the tradition!

Macie was exhausted after a long day at the beach...one minute she was eating her ice cream, the next she was sound asleep!

The water was FREEZING!  I didn't even go in it until the last day we were there!

The last day we went to lunch at Ruby's Diner...there was a guy making the kids balloon animals.  We had no idea how good he would be!  Crew got a cool dinosaur and Macie & Halle got Ariel mermaids!  They were really cool!  Macie's made it all the way home but popped the next day.

I love that you guys have such a fun tradition...and I hope you continue it forever! It looks like you had a blast. It's fun to see pictures of Nancy and Sandy too. I haven't seen them in FOREVER! What a fun family you have!
