Go UTES!

We went to the Cowan's house to watch the Sugar Bowl and it turned out to be an awesome game! The Utes played great and were able to show everyone how good they are! It was fun to get together with everyone, too!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We spent New Year's Eve at our friends' Mike & Aja's house. We had dinner, played Wii, and hung around and talked until midnight. I must be getting old because I was exhausted by the time midnight came- we said Happy New Year and were home and in bed before 1am! I might start celebrating on New York time next year! Anyway, it was fun- everyone had their kids there, but Macie had a sleepover with her cousin Halle at my mom's house- it was kind of nice not having to chase her around, plus she wouldn't have done well staying up that late!
Brooks & Scott bringing in the new year!

Cute little Rilyn barely made it to midnight- she was so tired!

Christmas Day

Santa brought Macie a play kitchen, Magnadoodle (because she loves to "color"), twin babies, & a walking/talking Cabbage Patch doll. I got my new camera a couple weeks before Christmas which was supposed to be "our" present this year, but I decided to surprise Tony with a Nintendo Wii. He was surprised, too- after he opened up a shirt and his stocking there was a little note that sent him on a little treasure hunt which led him to it...he was pretty excited!
We went over to Tony's parents' house to open presents and eat breakfast. Macie got a Cookie Monster from Kip, Holly, Kaden & Lexi and a cute build-a-bear from Aunt Tiff and Maddie. Grandma & Grandpa Davies gave her a doll diaper bag, some books, a play microwave and lots of food & dishes for her new kitchen. We missed Casey, Tracey & the kids this year- they couldn't make it because of the snow storm.

After we went home and gave Macie a nap we headed to my parents' house for the rest of the night. We opened presents with them then had dinner. Macie got a singing Barney (her favorite!) from Ryan, Kensie & Halle. Grandma & Grandpa Hutchins gave her a new doll stroller, doll carseat, pajamas, & tea set. They also went in on my other gift to Tony- Guitar Hero World Tour...he was surprised once again and we haven't quit playing it since! Grandma Vickie also gave Macie some giant legos.

What a great Christmas! We are so blessed to have such great families!

Christmas Eve Jammies

A stocking for everyone in the Davies family...Dixie knitted them all!

On Christmas eve it's a tradition to stop by Grandma Dixie & Grandpa Dennis' house to get a present- new jammies! My parents used to give us pajamas on Christmas eve every year so it's fun to carry on that tradition! We look forward to our new jammies every year!

For Christmas eve we went to Granny Hilda's house for dinner (she makes the best lasagna!) and presents. It was good to see everyone, even though a lot of people couldn't make it this year because of the snow!

Breakfast with Santa

When I was younger it was a tradition to have "breakfast with Santa" on Christmas Eve. We used to go to ZCMI to do it and it was always so much fun! Obviously ZCMI doesn't exist anymore (it's now Macy's), but I was able to share that tradition with Macie this year at Millenial Falls. We went with my mom, Mackensie, her mom Devi, Halle & Crew. We had a great breakfast then Santa came out and visited each table then we all sang a few Christmas songs! It was fun for Macie and she's finally warming up to Santa!

Davies Annual Christmas Party

The Sunday before Christmas we had Tony's family Christmas party. We had a good dinner but a small crowd this year (we missed all of you who couldn't make it!) After dinner Santa stopped by and brought a little gift for each kid. He must have been really busy this year because the girls all got dolls and he brought something else for Macie. She really wanted a "baby" and kept trying to take the other girls' so thanks to Aunt Tiff we did a little switcharoo and she never new that's not what he really brought her! Silly Santa- I guess he'll know better next year! Thanks Dixie for a fun party!
