Like Mother, Like Daughter???

Everyone who knew me as a baby always say Macie looks just like me. We looked very alike around 1 year old but I was starting to think she was looking more like Tony (and she still definitely has him in her). We recently discovered my 2 year picture and my mom happened to have the dress I wore, so I thought I would compare- and here are the results.....

Macie's Pre-photoshoot

I took Macie to get her 2 year old pictures but since we haven't ever had a great experience at photo shoots I decided to "prep" her by practicing before we left. She was so funny- saying cheese, smiling, and even posing for the camera! Of course she didn't do that well at Kiddie Kandids, but I still had to post the ones I took because I thought they were pretty cute!

Draper Temple

We finally made it to the Draper Temple open house and it was worth the wait. It was small but very beautiful! My favorite is when the temples are lit up at night. We went with my parents, my brother & his family, my aunt and her family, and my cousin. It was a fun family event!

Crew's 1st Birthday!

My cute nephew Crew turned 1 and we celebrated this weekend with a little birthday party for him. Unfortunately he wasn't feeling very good so he ended up sleeping through half of the party! He's so fun- I can't believe he's already 1!

He got his own cake, which he didn't really know what to do with...

...so Macie decided to help him!

Famous!

So I stole this picture from my boss' blog (thanks Sam!)- our office staff is on 2 different billboards that can be seen from I-15. It's one of the flashing ones, so you have to be there at the right time or be in traffic to see it- the picture is a little blurry but I'm in the back row on the right. It's pretty cool to be famous! ;)

I was really excited to make special Valentine cupcakes (from scratch) but they didn't turn out quite like I had hoped- the box stuff tastes just as good & takes a lot less time, plus my buttercream frosting turned out horribly (luckily I had some Duncan Heinz on hand to save the cupcakes!) I also made some chocolate heart cookies which also didn't turn out great- so much for trying to be like Martha Stewart!
