It has been our tradition for years to have breakfast with Santa on Christmas Eve. This year I decided to have us do something kind of different. So Tony and I took the kids down to the Grand America and we had breakfast there. It was kind of fun to eat at a fancy place. Plus, they had some fun things to do. We walked around and saw the giant gingerbread house and all of the decorated, fun display windows. Then we went to the cool toy store that they have. It was a fun morning!
Later on we went to Tony's parents' house for a Christmas party. We usually do it the Sunday before, but because of the darn flu going around we had to post-pone. We were actually glad to have it on Christmas Eve because since my granny quit her Christmas Eve dinner a couple years ago we haven't had anything to do on Christmas Eve night. The party was fun, but we did miss some family that didn't make it. And since Santa was busy delivering presents he couldn't stop by like he usually does, but one of his elves did leave a bag of presents for all of the kids on the doorstep. Macie and Pax both got basketballs and Brady got a little football. They were super excited about their gifts. Grandma Dixie also gave the kids their Christmas Eve jammies. I was pretty excited about mine as well!
When we got home we set some cookies and notes out for Santa and attempted to get the kids to sleep. Macie and Paxton had a sleepover in Paxton's room which was pretty cute. They were SO excited!
