Work Christmas Party

We had our annual office party at my boss' clubhouse this year. We had a great dinner, exchanged gifts (thanks Megan!), and had a good time talking and hanging out. It was a fun night! Thanks Sam & "Josh"! We have such a great office- I really enjoy working with you all!

Christmas Cookies

Macie & Halle helped my mom and I make cookies- they did a great job, even if they got a little bored!

Santa!

Macie has been fascinated with Santa this year- her favorite book right now is a Little People book that has Santa in it and she loves to lift the flaps to find him! She gets so excited when she sees any Santa decorations/pictures. She's even pointed to a few men who resemble Santa (slightly overweight & bearded) and said "Santa, hohoho!" including a homeless man that we saw while stopped at an intersection.

So to my complete surprise when we finally met Santa in real life Macie wasn't impressed! She liked looking at him, but the second I put her on his lap she flipped out (see above picture!) She still gets excited about seeing Santa but has no desire to get too close! Sorry Santa! Better luck next year I guess!

3rd Annual Friends Christmas Party

Whitney hosted our annual friends Christmas party this year at her cute house. We had a great dinner, exchanged gifts, played American Idol, & caught up with each other- Whit's news was by far the most exciting (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to tell so I won't announce it on the blog just yet!) Anyway, we had a great time- thanks again Whit!

Happy Turkey Day!

I specifically planned to get a lot of pictures on Thanksgiving, but I ended up without any- I had to copy this one of Macie & her two cousins Lexi & Savannah from my sister-in-law. Go me! Anyway, we had dinner at Tony's parents' house. Then we went to my aunt's house for another dinner...and yes we ate again! Lots of good food... it was a fun day!

The best part of Thanksgiving for me is the day after (aka Black Friday)- I look forward to it more than Thanksgiving itself. Even if I don't find a good deal (although I almost always do) I still go because it's so fun- this year my mom and my aunt Charli came- we did Walmart, Southtown Mall, Target, & Shopko by 10:30am and we got some awesome deals. Thanks Tony for letting me take a little nap later on because I was pretty tired!

Anyway, I'm thankful for everything I have- I won't start making a list because it would go on forever! Happy Thanksgiving!

Nursery

For the last month we've been trying to take Macie to nursery at church and everytime we try to leave her she freaks out (it is during naptime, to that doesn't help). Today Tony stayed with her through half of it then I went and changed places with him so he could go to Priesthood meeting. She was having fun so I sneaked out, and sure enough she made it through the rest of it without us in there. It was so nice to sit through Sunday School & Relief Society without her yelling, running away, and throwing things- I actually learned something! Of course I did go check on her a couple of times to make sure she was doing okay (I just looked through the little peep hole so she wouldn't see me). After Relief Society I went to get her and she was crying, but they said she'd only been crying for a minute because all the other parents were starting to get their kids and she realized we weren't there. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but she's never been to daycare or been babysat by anyone other than family/close friends, so it was a little hard for me to leave her! I got thinking that it's a sneak peek into the coming years of her first day of preschool, kindergarten, etc. and it makes me a little sad to think how fast my baby is growing up!
