Pretend City

While we were in California we went to a children's museum called Pretend City.  It was so cool!  It had a pretend grocery store, doctor's office, marina, beach, gas station, fire station, police station, art studio, restaurant, construction site, garden, farm, house, dance stage, etc. and in the middle they got to drive around pretend cars around the pretend park!  It was so cute- I think I had just as much fun as they did!  I have lots of Cali pictures to come!

The kids seemed to like the pretend beach the best which was kind of funny since we spend the whole week at the beach!

4 Months

Paxton is already 4 months old! We went to the doctor today and he weighed in at 17lbs 13oz (95th percentile) and 25.75inches long (85th percentile). He rolled for the first time around 3 months, and can now roll from tummy to back, back to tummy, and can do it on both sides (right & left). He also has developed a little temper...if he doesn't get his way he doesn't just cry he SCREAMS! It's kind of funny actually, except in the middle of the night! As long as he's fed, changed, burped and not tired (I know that sounds like a lot of exceptions), he is a very happy baby! He loves when I sing to him and he smiles all the time! He is also grabbing at everything and loves things that light up or make sounds!

Rice Cereal

I gave Paxton rice cereal for the first time about a week ago...he didn't really like it much! I'll keep trying it mixed with new things and hopefully he'll like it eventually. I'm hoping now that he can eat solids he'll sleep better at night!

Macie loves to help whenever she can!

Paxton's 3 Month Pictures

I got the kids pictures taken a few weeks ago but just got them back this week. Paxton was actually 3 1/2 months, but who's counting! I also got one of Macie since I never got her 3 year pictures done (I had some done at Christmas, though.) Anyway, Pax was super smiley but I'm not a fan of Kiddie Kandids anymore so at the 6 month pictures I'll be going somewhere else. They turned out okay, though! This would have been even cuter had they caught this cute smile while he was straight up and not tilted!

Casey & Tracey's Sealing

Tony's brother and his wife Tracey were sealed to each other and their daughters in the Oquirrh temple. I had never been to a family sealing before and it was such a great experience. I got so emotional when they brought the girls into the sealing room and when they pronounced them an eternal family. It was so sweet and the Spirit was definitely in the room with us.
After the temple we all went over to Tracey's parents' house for a BBQ which was very fun! I am so happy for them and so glad I was able to be apart of their special day!

Savannah & Grace...so cute!

My mom brought the kids to us after we came out of the temple. Macie LOVES the temple...she loves to sing "I Love To See The Temple!" She wanted a picture with the girls!

Some of us were playing basketball at the BBQ and this was our cheer section!

Lagoon

We went to Lagoon with my aunt Charli & her kids last week. Last year Macie was a little too short to ride some of the rides but we snuck her on anyway, and she loved all of them! This year, now that she's tall enough, she was scared of everything! She would wait in line and get on the ride then freak out right before it would start...I finally had to force her to stay on the little swings (her favorite ride last year)! I don't know how one year she's completely fearless and then the next she's scared of everything! Crazy kid! I hope she does better in Disneyland! Riding the skyride with aunt Charli

The swings...I think she actually liked it but didn't want to smile just to spite me!

Paxton was worn out from all the fun!

Waiting in line for the dragon ride...she ended up getting off of it before it started!

The Ladybug bop (mini rocket)...this was the first big ride she went on and I think it was a little scarier than she had thought, which might have been why she was a chicken the rest of the day!

4th of July

Since the 4th of July was on Sunday this year, we celebrated all weekend! On Saturday we went to the parade, then later on had a BBQ at my parents' house and watched fireworks. The kids loved the fireworks- even Paxton loved watching them!
On Sunday my good friends Kristin and Bridger had their baby boy Chase! I am so excited for them- Chase and Paxton are going to be BFFs! I went to visit on Monday and he is so handsome! On Monday night we had a BBQ at Tony's parents' house with his family. Then we watched some fireworks there.
The 4th of July is my favorite holiday, mostly because it's in the summer! I love everything about it, though!

Charli and Pax

Granny brought these beautiful peonies from her garden for my mom....I'm going to get some bulbs from her garden and start some in my yard! I absolutely love them...they are one of my very favorite flowers!
